Students can request print items from United Lutheran Seminaries collection through our ECCO catalog

Students also have reciprocal borrowing privileges through Carolinas Theological Library Consortium and Atla Reciprocal Borrowing.

Courtesy borrowers include the following groups:

  • Alumni
  • Chaplain School Fort Jackson
  • Cooperative Baptist Clergy
  • ELCA Rostered Leaders
  • Episcopal Clergy ECUSA
  • Moravian Clergy
  • Newberry College Faculty and Students
  • Presbyterian Church USA Clergy
  • United Methodist Clergy
  • United Church of Christ Clergy

 

  • A Courtesy Borrower is one who is 18 years of age or older and has a library card from Hickory Public or Catawba County library systems and completes the library's registration process.
  • Courtesy Borrowers can register Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM by presenting a library card from Hickory Public or Catawba County library system and a current photo ID.
  • Students from UCHS can register by presenting a current school ID.
  • Courtesy Borrowers may check out up to 5 items from the main circulating collection.  
  • All items circulate for 28 days or the end of the semester.
  • Borrowers are responsible for the safe and timely return of materials.
  • Overdue notices are sent via email. The library no longer charges overdue fines.  However, accounts are blocked if there are more than 2 overdue items. If materials are not returned, borrowers are billed for replacement of the item plus a $10 processing fee and loose borrowing privileges until paid.
