Collection Development

If you need an item that our library does not own, you can request it using interlibrary loan (ILL), usually at no cost to you. Visit our ILL site and sign in with your myLR user name and password.  

Complete the form detailing the material you wish to borrow. When your item has arrived, an email will be sent to your LR email informing you to log back into the ILL site to retrieve the article or to come to the library to pick up your book. We will also contact you regarding any issues with your request. 
 

Time Frames for Requests

• Copies - Copy requests typically take 1-4 days to process, although this may vary depending on the work in question. 
• Loans - Loan requests often take 1-2 weeks to process. Note: For off-campus students, this process may take longer.                                                              

Note for Borrowing Libraries: Items designated as Popular Reading or New Books are not available for interlibrary loan. These materials are reserved for use by Lenoir-Rhyne University patrons to ensure timely access to high-demand titles.
