Subject Databases

Another route to finding the research that you need is to go to a subject database focusing more narrowly on your subject. These databases are relevant to the specific study and practice of non-profit organizations. A ful list of business-themed databases can be found here.

An invaluable tool in several ways. You can use it to find new donors for nonprofits using their Consumer Database. Search by city, consumer interest and much. You can also use it this to search for their organizations themselves in a geographic areas, or use NAICS codes.

Contains thousands of full-text journals, working papers, key business and economics periodicals, country-and industry-focused and downloadable data, as well as many peer-reviewed and trade articles about NGOs.
ProQuest Entrepeneurship Database
Search business plans (including for nonprofits) , templates, tools, investors, and scholarly journals. A useful mixture of the practical and scholarly.
