New York Times access information

IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR RETURNING STUDENTS, FACULTY, AND STAFF: LR students should have uninterrupted access until their anticipated graduation date, but LR faculty/staff will need to re-register annually via the instructions just below.

All LRU students, faculty, and staff have online access to the web edition of the New York Times.  Coverage is from 1851 to the present (except for archived articles between 1923 and 1980, which are limited to 5 per day).  Here's how to activate your subscription:

 

Step 1: Navigate to www.accessnyt.com

Step 2: Search for and select "Lenoir-Rhyne University"

      You will be redirected to the NYT registration page.

Step 3: Click "Create Account" and complete fields; you must use your @lr.edu or @my.lr.edu email

Step 4: Verify your account (you will receive a confirmation email)*

* The confirmation email may be routed to your spam folder. You must click the link in this email to complete the registration.

Faculty contributions, curated New York Times articles, custom news alerts, co-curricular activities, and weekly digests in several major subject areas, including English, Biology, Business, Criminal Justice, Economics, and more.

How do you access NYTimes.com/edu?
Visit http://nytimesineducation.com/ and click link “Register” at the upper right hand corner. From there, follow the instructions  to create an account using your Lenoir-Rhyne email address as your username.
